Welcome to Readle! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our reading speed game application ("Service") operated by Wampeter Ventures ("us," "we," or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Readle is an AI-powered reading speed game designed to help users improve their reading skills through timed reading challenges. The Service includes various reading content types (letters, words, sentences, stories) and tracks user performance to provide personalized learning experiences.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create a player profile. You agree to:

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

10. Children's Use and Parental Consent

Readle is an educational service designed for children and families. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and have specific requirements for users under 13 years of age.

10.1 Parental Consent Required

If you are under 13 years of age, you must have your parent or legal guardian create an account on your behalf. By creating an account for a child under 13, you represent that:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
  • You consent to the collection and use of your child's information as described in our Privacy Policy
  • You have reviewed and agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of your child
  • You understand you are responsible for all activity under the account

10.2 Parental Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

10.3 Users 13 and Older

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements.
